The famous Push Up… The Push up is a more advanced upper body pushing exercise as it requires you to have the strength to push most of your body weight. In addition to this, there is a greater demand on your core musculature to keep your back straight.
How to perform the push up:
1. Start by lying down on your stomach. With your hands on the ground, just outside shoulder width and in line with the middle of your chest.
2. Dig your toes into the ground, tighten your buttocks and straighten your knees by tightening your quads (front of your thighs). Brace with your core and press up until your arms are locked out.
3. Control down to the start position.
4. Repeat as prescribed.
